Jennifer and Greg were such troopers trekking all over Phillipe Park in Safety Harbor with me during their maternity session! Phillipe is one of my favorite locations because of the large variety of backgrounds that it offers all in one convenient location. The beautiful stone stairs, little bit of beach (if the tide is low enough), pretty open field, and the famous “big tree” are some of the top favorites.
The love between these two was so sweet throughout the entire session and it was so obvious how excited they were to be expecting their baby boy soon. Jennifer was absolutely glowing!
I always recommend booking your maternity session at the start of your second trimester for when you are between 27-32 weeks along. Though every Mama is unique in how she feels as her pregnancy progresses, this timeframe generally allows for a nice baby bump in those beautiful maternity gowns but isn’t so far into your pregnancy that you are uncomfortable walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time during your maternity session. It also gives some wiggle room for rescheduling if needed due to weather while still giving plenty of time in case baby decides to come early.
Wondering how to decide on a location for your maternity session? Typically, during your pre-session consultation, we will discuss your vision for your session. I will ask if you have a location type in mind (beach, open field, trees, etc.) and am happy to make a location recommendation based on your preferences. We also have an ever-growing client closet of maternity dresses that you are welcome to use during your session!
